Empowerment & Leadership Development

Empowerment & Leadership Development

Our Empowerment & Leadership Development Program strengthens the capacity of Deaf women and girls to become confident leaders, decision-makers, and change agents in their communities. We believe Deaf women have the potential to lead social change, influence policies, and contribute meaningfully to community development when given the right opportunities and support.

Many Deaf women face barriers to leadership due to limited access to education, exclusion from decision-making spaces, and social stigma. This program builds confidence, leadership skills, and self-advocacy abilities while creating opportunities for participation in community governance, advocacy platforms, and economic initiatives.

Through mentorship, training, and community engagement, we nurture strong leaders who can advocate for their rights and represent Deaf communities, especially across Kisumu, Nyanza, and Western Kenya. Our goal is to create a generation of empowered Deaf women who influence positive change and drive inclusive development.
