Our Health & Well-Being Program promotes the physical, sexual, reproductive, and mental health of Deaf women and girls by ensuring access to inclusive, accessible, and quality health information and services. We focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and mental health support, recognizing that good health is essential for empowerment, dignity, and overall well-being.
Deaf women often face barriers when accessing healthcare, including communication challenges, limited access to accessible health information, stigma, and inadequate support services. This program addresses these gaps through health education, awareness initiatives, and partnerships with service providers to ensure Deaf-friendly healthcare services.
Through community outreach, counseling support, and health system strengthening, we improve access to essential health services and promote well-being among Deaf women and girls, particularly across Kisumu, Nyanza, and Western Kenya.
This program promotes accessible healthcare and improved well-being.
